What was the point of the lockout, again?

Dwight Howard wants to go from Orlando to Los Angeles or New Jersey, but not Chicago, it seems. Chris Paul won’t sign a contract extension unless he’s traded to Lakers, but to the right L.A. David Stern, in one fell swoop (one swell foop?), makes a decision that, somehow, manages to alienate…everyone.

It was like one of those old bits David Letterman used to do on NBC, when he’d go to the roof of a tall building and drop something, like a watermelon or cantaloupe, watch it burst when it hit the ground, then show the replay over and over. It was almost hypnotic watching all of the pieces splatter and separate.

NBA tips off season with five games on Christmas Day!

NEW YORK -- The NBA today announced that the league's 66th season will tip off Christmas Day with a five-game slate, contingent on timely ratification of the new collective bargaining agreement.

Kia NBA Tip-Off '11 will launch on TNT with one of the NBA's oldest and most intense rivalries. The Boston Celtics, featuring their All-Star foursome of Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo, visit the New York Knicks (12 p.m. ET) with their dynamic tandem of Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire. Kia Motors, the Official Automotive Partner of the NBA, is in its second consecutive season as the title partner of NBA Tip-Off.

Lebron James 2011: James, Wade excited about end of lockout!

NEW YORK – Miami Heat stars Lebron James and Dwayne Wade said Tuesday they are excited about the tentative deal to end the NBA lockout and play a shortened season of 66 games per team starting December 25, 2011.

But they avoided any comments about the details of the deal that ended a 149-day shutdown and is expected to have players in pre-season training camps next week.

“It’s great moment for all of us,” Lebron James said.

“We’re going to discuss about how excited I am, how excited we are, about the game of basketball being back and about all the people who have been out of jobs and the fans who have been out of watching basketball for the 140-plus days from the lockout.”

It’s time to witness the vengeful season of Miami Heat, Lebron James , Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh will all of them and start winning a championships… Watch for them as they will dominate NBA 2011-2012 Season!

Juan Manuel Marquez will be fighting his best form on November 12, 2011 against the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines. All eyes will be on Juan Manuel Marquez if he can still perform his best as what he displayed during his last 2 fights against Pacquiao. Marquez got knockdown four times in their last 2 fights but got up and fought like a blooded warrior and almost defeated Manny Pacquiao. Marquez camp still believed that they won those fights!

Marquez promises on his 3rd fight that he will not allow the judges to decide but rather he will take full responsibility to beat Pacquiao in a knockout fashion to avoid robbery. Juan Manuel Marquez was greatly inspired with the overwhelming support from his countrymen as they are in full support for Marquez to win his fight against Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines. Marquez is on his heavy workout and impressive training camp. He displayed how he works hard for this 3rd fight against the pound for pound king and the 8th time champion in 8 different divisions Manny Pacquiao.

While majority of boxing experts believed that Manny Pacquiao will win this fight convincingly and will knockout Juan Manuel Marquez in the middle rounds, some and there are few believers that Marquez has been proven from his last 2 fights against Pacquiao that he can pull an upset and shock the world and reclaim what he thought is for him.
