NEW YORK – Miami Heat stars Lebron James and Dwayne Wade said Tuesday they are excited about the tentative deal to end the NBA lockout and play a shortened season of 66 games per team starting December 25, 2011.
But they avoided any comments about the details of the deal that ended a 149-day shutdown and is expected to have players in pre-season training camps next week.
“It’s great moment for all of us,” Lebron James said.
“We’re going to discuss about how excited I am, how excited we are, about the game of basketball being back and about all the people who have been out of jobs and the fans who have been out of watching basketball for the 140-plus days from the lockout.”
It’s time to witness the vengeful season of Miami Heat, Lebron James , Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh will all of them and start winning a championships… Watch for them as they will dominate NBA 2011-2012 Season!
With the 2011-2012 NBA Season in jeopardy, Lebron James believes that the players union and the NBA management will resolve the crisis in due time.

Lost to South Korea just a while ago with a score of 78-70 but not after the scary run that makes the Koreans give their best shot to defeat Smart Gilas Pilipinas in an exciting and competitive fashion.
But as they say, this team was being criticized all year long and what is more painful is that fellow Filipinos never have faith and doesn’t believe that it would make an impact or even compete with the best team in Asia such as China, Iran and ofcourse South Korea or even Jordan and Lebanon. But the way they are showing right now, Smart Gilas Pilipinas is now proving everyone wrong and they are giving their best shot and showing competitiveness in every international or exhibition games they played. They displayed heart and dedication to make the Philippines proud.
The way it was working with the team system that Coach Rajko Toroman wanted to imply, this team has something to look forward to. Beating the Asia Champion Iran in their opening match and playing hard against Jordan and South Korea makes them one of the teams to beat in Asia with the composition of elite collegiate players and a few selections of players from Philippine Basketball Players. Not to mention the big help from naturalize Marcus Douthit who is highly considered as one reason why play good basketball nowadays.
At the recent Jones Cup 2011, Smart Gilas Pilipinas is expected to be at least in the top four and have a chance to make it to the finals and eventually won a championship if they will be successful. The way they showed from playing against the best team who participated (IRAN, SOKOR and Jordan), they have definitely a very big chance of capturing the elusive Jones Cup Crown.

The annual Jones Cup is now on its way for this 2011 Season. It was an explosive starts yesterday August 6, 2011 when two of the contenders the two time defending champion IRAN national team and the Smart Gilas of the Philippines battled it out with intensity and rivalry.
Nobody expected with the result as the Smart Gilas caught IRAN flat footed when they beat the latter 73-59 in a more intense game. IRAN was highly favored on that game for the reason that they are the Asian Champion and the two time Jones Cup champion.
It was all out performance for the Smart Gilas Pilipinas as they never fear IRAN even with the presence of Memphis Grizzlies center 7-foot-2 Haddadi. They have lead and control the tempo from start to finish as they surprised the defending champion with flawed offense and swarming defense.
This might be the start of something big in Philippine Basketball with Rajko Toroman patiently hone his players to be more aggressive, motivated and challenged to every position. He is the brilliant mentor ever assembled a national team whom majority of its players are from the amateur ranks. He is very confident that the Smart Gilas Pilipinas would certainly be a threat to powerhouse team in asia. Though, Team Pilipinas is always be a contender when it comes to basketball. But this time around would be a different one, this team will capture the heart of every Filipinos and to get back their interest in basketball. Basketball is the game that every Filipinos love but many considered it is now dying because of some people who never care of the sports and it was politically motivated. But that belief has been slowly healed as Smart Gilas headed by every supportive Manny Pangilinan (known as MVP) is now trying to reborn the system and get back on track in world basketball.
Gilas with the presence of naturalized Marcus Douhit was able to match up pretty well with Haddadi and he shows to everyone that he is up to the challenge against the 7-foot-2 Haddadi and he will never ever intimated by anybody.
Smart Pilipinas recently was able to get a rare experienced on playing against the best of the NBA. When they got the chance to play with the likes of Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and the 2010-2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose. It was truly a hell of an experienced and that proves enough that they are ready for a big time game against big time team in Asia.
They are optimistic that they can have the best position for this Jones Cup and after defeating IRAN national team they have now the big opportunity to capture the Jones Cup Championship.
